New CLients

New Clients

Vanessa’s books are now closed and she is no longer accepting  new clients.   This is unlikely to change in the foreseeable future.  However, if you are a former client wanting to return, you can ask to go on a wait list.  Currently, former clients are waiting a minimum of  2-months . However, it might be substantially longer and we’re  not able to say how long it will take before an appointment becomes available.   In the meantime, we strongly encourage former clients to explore a range of  support options  if they do decide to wait for an appointment.

Booking FAQ

Prices listed below are for new clients and are subject to change.


  • Where to book: Click link below to be directed to booking website or go to contact us page to be contacted.


  • New Clients: For all new clients, a deposit of $50 is required to secure a booking. This will be subtracted from session fees when paying for the remainder of your appointment. It is fully refundable as long as bookings are cancelled with more than 24-hours notice. 


  • Evening: Evening slots are reserved for full fee paying clients. 


  • Weekends & Public Holiday:  Weekend and public holiday appointments incurring full APS recommended rate.


  • *Urgent appointments: Individuals can contact Vanessa through the contact us page with a request to be added to a waiting list. Please note while Vanessa will do her best to read messages in a timely fashion, she is not a crisis service. 


  • Cancellations. Cancellations need to be sent with one business day notice.  e.g. Thursday 9am Appointment needs to be Cancelled by Tuesday 5pm.

Appointment Fees

  • Evening appointments: Evening slots are reserved for full FEE paying clients. $194.55 before rebate


  • Weekend & Public Holiday appointments: Weekends and Public Holiday will incur full APS recommended fee of $260 before rebate. https://www.psychology.org.au/for-the-public/about-psychology/what-it-costs


  • Medicare Gap For those with a Mental Health Care Plan from their GP $65 Full FEE and $35 Concession.  It is the responsibility of the client to be aware of how many medicare funded sessions they have left. This can be checked via MyGov Medicare site or Medicare APP. https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/individuals/services/medicare/medicare-online-accounts 


  • Private Health/ insurance  $194.55 before rebate or claim, please check with insurer as rebates vary.


  • ReturnToWorkSA/ Motor Vehicle Accident  or other third party payer Please inform Eastwood Psychology Services before appointment if it is a ReturnToWorkSA, Motor Vehicle Accident or other third party payment. 


  • Cancellation Fees Appointments where less than one business day notice will incur a 50% Fee and no show with no notice will incur 100% fee.
